Mohsin Naqvi excludes Saima Ayuba from the tournament


The Pakistan star opener Saim Ayub is ready to be excluded from the entire champion trophy campaign. The new update has arrived from the President of the Pakistani Cricket (PCB) Mohsina Committee, who claimed that he could not risk his career on the basis of one tournament.

Mohsin Naqvi kicked out Saima Ayuba from the champion trophy

During the interview with journalists, Mohsin Naqvi was asked about Saima Ayuba status. The PCB chief quickly admitted that he was in a regular relationship with the young man and confirmed that Ayub was in the rehabilitation phase.

“I am in contact with Saim (Ayub) every day. His rehabilitation is currently undergoing and we hope that his plaster will be removed in a few days. He will work on his recovery after that,” Naqvi said.

Talking further about the recovery of the 22-year-old, Naqvi confirmed that Ayub’s future would not be risked because of only one tournament and that he would be given all the time to recover.

“It will take time and I do not want to risk his future because of one champion trophy. I follow everything alone because he is our advantage and hopefully he will heal soon,” he added.

How did Saim Ayub injure himself?

Saim Ayub injured his right ankle when he went out to the field during the first morning of the second match of the series between South Africa and Pakistan. After the ball, Ayub went deep to third with Aamer Jamal. Jamal pulled the ball back while Ayub was stationed as a relay player.

However, he lost his balance and twisted ankle. Ayub was seen in severe pain and was drawn from the ground. He was later seen on crutches and magnetic resonance imaging that he had suffered a fracture.

He was immediately sent to London for further treatment with the auxiliary team coach Azhar Mahmood. After returning from London, the rehabilitation process began with the aim of being ready ahead of the champion trophy.

Saim Ayub established himself as Pakistan’s star in all game formats. The left -handed was crucial for the Pakistan’s victory in the Nadi series in Australia and South Africa. Ayub scored 125 runs in three matches with an average of 41.66 and a foot footsteps of 97.65 in GOd against Australia and became the best run in the series.

This 22-year-old was again at the best edition during the Odi series against South Africa when he scored 235 runs in three matches with an average of 78.33 and a rate of 96.31 hits with two hundred. It could have been an trump card of Pakistan on the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
