Rashid Latif attacks India, invites Pakistan to focus on playing ‘attacking crislette’
Former Rashid Latif player Latif has invited the Pakistani team to focus only on the ICC Champions Trophy, not the decision of India to play all his matches in the UAE.
While the Pakistani Committee on Cricket (PCB) had a competition for the competition, ICC had to design a hybrid model after India refused to travel to Pakistan by stating safety reasons. As a result, the UAEs were chosen as a neutral place, and India would play all their matches in that Middle East country.
PCB could also lose the host rights for the finals if India reaches a decisive title. Although the finals are likely to play in Lahore, the place could be moved to Dubai if India qualifies. In the midst of all this, Rashid Latif has invited people in green to focus only on the tournament.

With Pakistan preparing for the ICC event for the first time since 1996, the Pakistani giant stated that ‘these are exciting times’ for the nation. He also praised the PCB for their efforts to ensure that the tournament was held in Pakistan.
“These are the exciting time for a craft crazy nation. The world’s best teams will participate in this mega event,” Rashid told Pakistani English Daily Dawn.
“I commend the efforts of the Pakistani Government and the Pakistani Cricket (PCB) Committee for their relentless lobbying with the International Cauc Council (ICC), ensuring that Pakistan gets the opportunity to host this tournament. India will play their matches in the UAE, and that is their job; Pakistan should focus solely on playing the offensive cricket, “he added.
Rashid Latifa convinced of a good performance from Pakistan:
Speaking further, Rashid Latif said he was convinced that Pakistan would make the most of the domestic conditions in the champion trophy. The former door guard said Pakistan had an incredible spin attack because he supported the hosts to show well in the competition at the top.
“I am convinced that our players will take the opportunity to play in domestic conditions. We have quality players such as the mysterious Bowling of Abrar Ahmed, Sufiyan Muqeem and Faisal Akram. Additionally, Salman Ali AGha is a valuable trump card,” he said.
Latif also called India “strong team” but did not designate them as the biggest challenger of Pakistan. He stated that teams like England, New Zealand, Australia and South Africa would be a bigger challenge for the team led by Mohammad Rizwan in the champion trophy.
“India is a strong team, but I believe these four teams could be a bigger challenge,” he said.

In the meantime, Pakistan will play against New Zealand at the opening of the champion trophy. The match is played on February 19 in Karachi. Four days later, Pakistan will fight India in Dubai. Pakistan is a title defender and will endeavor to become only the second team after Australia who defended the title.
