Ericsson’s revenue in the fourth quarter, the basic profit is growing due to the recovery of demand in the US Reuters
Stockholm (Reuters) – The Swedish Telecommunication Manufacturer of Ericsson (BS 🙂 reported on Friday about the increase in revenue in the fourth quarter and adapted to the operating profit that its main North American market has returned to grow.
The net sale increased by 1% to 72.9 billion crowns ($ 6.66 billion), surpassing estimates of 72.5 billion. In North America, sales increased by 54%.
“We see further signs that the overall ran (Radio Access Network) is now stabilized, with strong growth in North America, which supports the return of Networks sales in the fourth quarter,” said Borje Ekolm CEO in a statement.
Sales in Asia decreased two -digit, mainly in India, where demand fell after rapid growth 2023.
Business profit excluding the costs of restructuring and diminishing was 10.2 billion crowns compared to 8.2 billion a year earlier. The average forecast in the survey of LSEG analysts was 10.3 billion.
Ericsson suggested a 2.85 crown dividend per share for 2024, compared to 2.70 crowns for 2023.
