“The View” co-hosts fume over Trump’s orders on DEI government offices
The co-hosts of “The View” were furious at President Trump’s orders in connection with DEI government offices on Thursday, claiming it was giving the green light to people who are racist.
“I think that by tackling it and doing it in such a bold way on day one, he’s giving the green light to people who are racist, to people who are homophobic. To people who are anti-women and think you should be in the kitchen and tell them your racism doesn’t exist no consequences,” said co-host Ana Navarro.
The federal Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has notified agency and department heads that they must begin taking steps to close all diversity, equity and inclusion offices by the end of the day Wednesday and to place government employees in those offices on paid leave, Fox News Digital reported Wednesday.
Co-host Sunny Hostin compared the move to Woodrow Wilson’s re-segregation of the federal government, which she said led to “a drop in income not only for black workers, but for women as well.”

“I think it’s a war on people of color, and what we’re going to see is a lot of pain, but especially for those communities that need those jobs,” Hostin added.
Co-host Sara Haines fired back at Navarro and Hostin, citing criticism of the DEI program, and asserting that they are a “money-blowing bureaucracy.”
The co-host asked Hostin why people feel threatened by the removal of the DEI office.
Hostin argued that Trump’s executive orders “also remove protections against discrimination in the awarding of government contracts.”

Haines said criticism of the DEI has to do with whether the programs are actually effective, and he argued that’s not always the case.
“The statistics show that they are very effective,” Hostin countered.
Hostin said Tuesday that Trump himself was “hired by DEI,” claiming that he was the heir and that “everything was given to him”.

Co-host Ana Navarro said the administration is going through a purge.
“They’re figuring out, you know, who might be doing this — I mean, they’re asking people in different federal departments to snitch on each other. You know, who’s a liberal? Who’s a Biden supporter? Who’s into capital? And they’ve been purging these people, which they told us they would do,” Navarro said.
