In a move that could see another ex Premier League the player earns a redemption on FulhamThe Cottagers are reportedly set to meet the agent of a defender they have already sent in an offer for this month.
Fulham transfer news
Craven Cottage is fast becoming a land of opportunity for struggling players desperate to turn things around. It’s the turnaround Andreas Pereira enjoyed after Manchester United’s failure, it’s the turnaround Alexander Iwobi is enjoying more than ever, and it’s even the one Adama Traore and Raul Jimenez are enjoying after stagnating at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
All of these transitions from heavy performances to leading roles culminated in a top half capable of causing an upset any day under Marko Silva. On Saturday 10th and in an unexpected race to qualify for either the Europa League or the Europa Conference League, Fulham could still use the January transfer window to close the gap on such sides even further.
Names such as Anthony Caci have already been mentioned in reports this month, but ahead of the Mainz 05 defender’s arrival, those in west London could turn their attention to another player who needs to turn things around in his career.
According to Calciomercat, via Sport Witness, Fulham are now set to meet Emerson Royal’s agent after they have already submitted their first proposal to sign the AC Milan defender.
The Premier League side are reportedly proposing a better formula than Galatasaray, although the total fee is less than the Turkish club’s €2m (£2m) loan deal with an option to buy of €13m (£11m) in the summer.

Emerson’s potential departure comes as a result of Kyle Walker’s reported move to AC Milan from Manchester City this month to make the right-back surplus to requirements at the San Siro. However, what is Milan’s trash could quickly become Fulham’s treasure as they look to transform another struggling player.
The “Big” Royal needs the transformation of Silva
A defender who struggled at Tottenham Hotspur and often stole the headlines for forgettable moments on the pitch, Royal could arrive at Fulham with an all-too-familiar story and one that the Cottagers could turn around. In doing so, the right-back could also return to haunt his former side with their London rivals and earn redemption in the Premier League.
Royal was praised even after his struggles ended with a move to Milan, coached by Spurs Ange Postecoglou telling reporters as reported by One Football: “Yes, Emi is a great guy, again a great professional. It’s one of those decisions you have to make when you’re trying to change a lineup. Really popular in the group and not just because he’s a great guy,
“He didn’t play a lot last year in his preferred position, but you wouldn’t know it considering he was training every day. He is the biggest worker in training and a really top guy. He’s a guy you’d want to spend time with. Big heart, everybody loves him and I think it’s a fantastic move for him.”
