Sting postpones several concerts due to an illness that prevents him from singing
Sting delayed more concerts due to a temporary throat infection.
On Tuesday, a team of veteran musicians took to social media to announce the delay, along with information about the move.
“On the advice of his doctor, due to illness, with sincere regret Sting has to cancel his performance at the Bass Magazine Awards this Thursday and postpone his STING 3.0 concerts in Phoenix, AZ (originally scheduled for January 24th) to June 1st and Wheatland, CA (originally scheduled for January 26th) to May 28th, as well as his performance at Cherrytree Music the company’s 20th anniversary, which is now being celebrated on May 29,” the statement said.

“Fans should hold on to their tickets for the rescheduled shows, as they will be honored on the new dates. Sting sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience and expresses his gratitude to fans for their understanding.”

On Wednesday, Sting thanked his fans for their concern and shared further details regarding his illness.
“Thank you very much for the good wishes,” he wrote on Instagram. “I’m still on the mend from a temporary throat infection that prevented me from singing, although I look forward to resuming my gigs and moving shows soon. Love, Sting”

In October 2018, Sting canceled the joint concert with Jamaican singer Shaggy just an hour before the show was due to start in San Francisco due to health reasons. Sting issued a statement at the time saying, “I’m sorry to have to postpone tonight’s show… but I can barely talk right now. We’ll reschedule as soon as possible.”
