Bishop asks Trump for clemency towards LGBT people and migrants

President Donald Trump criticized a service held at the Washington National Cathedral after he was called out during a sermon.

Right-winger Mariann Edgar Budde asked Trump for “mercy,” citing feelings of fear among the LGBT and immigrant communities.

Shortly after being sworn in as US president on Monday, Trump said it would become “official policy” that there are “only two genders – male and female”.

He too promised to end illegal immigration into the country and said that millions of “criminals” would be deported.

Speaking to reporters afterward, Trump said he “didn’t think it was a good favor.”

“They could have done a lot better,” he added before walking away.
