Varney: It’s okay to be proud of America again
During his “My Take” on Monday, “Varney & Co.” Host Stuart Varney discussed the emotions Americans are feeling ahead of President-elect Trump’s historic return to office.

Stuart Varney: The mood has changed. The anxiety is gone. Patriotism is back. Trump is coming back.
Wherever the president-elect appeared this weekend, he was cheered loudly. The audience would break into chants of USA. It spread through the capital, through crowded bars and restaurants. Pedicab drivers sang the song of the YMCA of the village people.
The haters failed to raise more than a few thousand at their Saturday rally. It’s nothing like the inauguration 8 years ago. Then the left was stunned and angry that Hillary was defeated by the hateful Donald Trump.
TRUMP IS BACK TO WORK AND THEY ARE ALL READY
This time, there’s a sense that the Biden/Harris team has made a mess. Their message always seemed to be that America was a bad place. Trump is undoing it.
According to the Wall Street Journal, in his inaugural address today, Trump will say, “We are at the beginning of an exciting new era of national success. A tide of change is sweeping the country.”
The change begins today, with a series of executive orders: It will declare a state of emergency at the national border, repeal the Green New Deal, and delay the ban on TikTok. He learned from last time when he wasted his first 6 months in office trying to get rid of Obama Care.

Immediately after he is sworn in, he will reportedly be roaming Washington, signing those executive orders on the fly. His supporters have already occupied the streets. They will cheer him on.
It’s a historic day: It feels like it’s okay to be proud of America again.
