South Carolina’s Shane Beamer separated from the opposing coach in the Citrus Bowl after being taunted after the injury
Opposing head coaches had to be separated from each other after being jeered after a player was injured during Citrus Bowl on Tuesday.
Illinois defensive back Jaheim Clarke was injured in the game and was being nursed by the trainers and his head coach, Bret Bielema.
Bielema, obviously, wasn’t happy and taunted South Carolina with a signal for the substitution.

It’s unclear who exactly Bielema made the gesture to, but Gamecocks head coach Shane Beamer lost almost immediately and had a lot to say to his opposition.
Beamer had to be restrained by his staff colleagues, as well as some referees and even some of his own players.
The entire game was colorful with a few taunting calls throughout the contest. Bielema dismissed the incident during a postgame interview, calling it simply a “football game.”

The two shook hands and shared a quick hug after Illinois won, 21-17.
The incident seemed to fire up the Gamecocks a bit, as they scored a touchdown just five plays after Beamer was separated from Bielema for a 17-14 lead early in the fourth.
However, the Illini responded with a 12-play drive of their own, going 75 yards down the field and grinding into the end zone to regain the lead, 21-17, midway through the quarter.
The Gamecocks got inside the 10-yard line on the ensuing drive, but were unable to score, and the Fighting Illini went down on the clock.
