Republican governors can’t wait for Trump to start prosperity in the states

Inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump will be one of the most transformative moments in our nation’s history. Not the mainstream media, not the political establishment, not even an assassin’s bullet could stop Donald J. Trump. On Inauguration Day, I’ll be in Washington representing the great state of Arkansas, cheering as Trump puts his hand on the Bible, takes the oath of office, and becomes our nation’s 47th president.
For Republican governors across the country, this moment couldn’t come soon enough.
The last four years of the Biden-Harris presidency have been disastrous for our country. Where that administration has failed, governors have had to step up – on the economy, the border and public safety. We are ready to have a partner and fighter in the White House again.
BIDEN DHS EXEMPTED THOUSANDS OF IMMIGRANTS FROM FY 2024 TERROR ENTRY RESTRICTIONS.
Not long after I took office in 2023. Biden’s border crisis has peaked, with thousands of illegal immigrants crossing into our country every day. Arkansas has joined other Republican-led states to send National Guard members to the southern border to help our friends in Texas. I traveled there that summer to thank our Rangers and see firsthand the border crisis surrounding Biden.
What I saw and heard was heartbreaking: National Guard members sweating in 100-plus-degree temperatures, enough fentanyl flowing across our border to stop every American’s heart multiple times, and migrants—whom President Joe Biden allegedly helped—often were dying of exhaustion in the desert.
We will soon have a president who takes border security seriously. Republican governors are standing in step with the incoming president, ready to drive violent illegal immigrants out of our states and keep our country safe.
Biden’s failures also extend to the economy. Under his reckless tax-and-spend policies, prices rose more than 20% across the country. For everyday items like eggs, milk, rent and gas, inflation has crippled American families.
As governor, I go to the communities around our state and meet people who really can’t afford those price increases: a mom who has to skip her own dinner just so her kids don’t go hungry, a restaurant owner who has to let employees go because food costs are so high, a family who can’t leave on vacation this summer because fuel prices are too expensive.
My administration has cut taxes three times to give relief to these families, and I am working to responsibly repeal the personal income tax in Arkansas. But for families who need help today, Trump can do it. He promised to cut taxes for hard-working middle-class families and—more importantly—he promised to cut wasteful spending that fueled inflation.
What I’m most excited about in the new Trump administration: The American people will finally have a leader in the White House again. Biden has taken an antagonistic stance toward state leaders who have dared to disagree with his administration.

He tried to rewrite Title IX, allowing men to take scholarships from women and forcing boys into girls’ locker rooms. Arkansas sued his administration and won – but we really shouldn’t be fighting the federal government over such common sense issues.
Biden’s EPA was notorious for its regulatory overreach. His bureaucrats, operating from computer screens in Washington, tried to regulate the existence of factories and businesses in Arkansas based on poor projections and skewed research. Arkansas sued the federal government again. It would be great to have a president who actually understands how to run a business and make decisions about some of the largest employers in our state.
In education, health care and other top federal spending priorities, the Biden administration has been far more interested in enforcing partisan politics than helping Americans in need. Trump will refocus the federal government on the people.

Around this time eight years ago, my husband, Bryan, and I were frantically packing up our house in Little Rock to move our family—including three young children—to Washington so that I could begin my job in the first Trump administration. Today I am preparing to go to Washington again, but as the current governor.
Times are changing, but my loyalty to President Trump is not. I know this president has never been better equipped or better prepared to make America great again – and I can promise that Republican governors will be with him every step of the way.
