Tottenham suffered another injury ahead of the clash with Everton

Tottenham Hotspur have been dealt another injury blow with Dominic Solanke ruled out of Sunday’s Premier League clash with Everton.

The 27-year-old, who joined Spurs this summer on a six-year deal in a deal reportedly worth £55million, has made a huge impression in north London, netting seven goals in the Premier League and a further four in all competitions.

Solanke’s overall performance as a centre-forward has earned widespread praise from Spurs fans, despite the club’s recent poor run of form.

Trip to Goodison Park to the face that fights with Everton is seen as an ideal opportunity for Ange Postecoglou’s side to reverse a run of results that has seen Spurs win just one of their last nine Premier League games, losing six.

Mail Sport to report that Solanke will not be available after all, as he suffered a knee injury during or after defeat in the north London derby against Arsenal on Wednesday evening.

There are concerns that Solanke could be sidelined for an extended period – something Postecoglou should address when he carries out his pre-match media duties.

Solanke’s absence adds to an already long list of injuries that have played a significant role Spurs‘recent struggles. First-choice centre-back duo Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven have been sidelined for some time, and have recently been joined on the flank by left-back Destiny Udogie.

Goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario is also out after breaking a bone in his foot during Spurs’ 4-0 win over Manchester City in November – a win that seems like an eternity to fans as the club languish in 15th place in the table Premier League table.

Rodrigo Bentancur, Wilson Odobert and Timo Werner are three others who will play no part in the Merseyside game, with Brennan Johnson and Yves Bissouma also carrying knocks.
