While Juve and PSG are yet to announce the deal, it looks like it will happen, but the latter side must sell one of their loan players before making it official – as they are currently maxed out on their allotted temporary deals per season.
There is little hope of Spurs usurping Juve’s job at this stage, but Postecoglou’s side have their eye on another PSG ace £264,000-a-week defender Milan Skriniar.
Some reports suggest the north Londoners have already been in talks to sign the Slovakian international, who was rumored to be a transfer target for former Spurs boss José Mourinho back in 2020.
“They have also been in talks with Paris Saint-Germain to sign Milan Skriniar, who is another significant player available in this window,” the journalist said. Duncan Castles recently.

“PSG will let him go. They’ve allowed him to talk to other clubs. Again, he’s not Enrique’s favourite. They have interest in him from Serie A clubs, and they’ll basically wait and see who gives them the best offer until the end of the window.
“So it’s an option for Tottenham to bring someone into their defence, who is really a centre-back at the heart of their defence.”
Tottenham decided to explore a deal for Milan Skriniar at the end of January
Sharing news of his interest in the 29-year-old, journalist Pete O’Rourke told Football Insider that Tottenham’s pursuit of the player is still ongoing.
Ben Davies is set to return from injury tomorrow against Everton, according to Postecoglou at his latest press conference, with Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero also set to return at the end of the month.
However, the trio’s absences have severely exposed their lack of depth in recent weeks and Tottenham’s fragility at the back has been a talking point.
Tottenham will explore a deal for Skriniar at the end of January as a result, with the club potentially looking to squeeze a good deal out of PSG during the latter stages of the window when the pressure to seal a deal is high.
O’Rourke says to “keep an eye” on the former Inter Milan star’s departure from Paris, as it looks very likely with Spurs on red alert.
