Jesus’ torn ACL means he won’t be seen in an Arsenal shirt again this season, while Saka is expected to be out until March after hamstring surgery. Arteta is left with just one striker in Kai Havertz as a result of Jesus’ absence, and the Spaniard also has to cope without Saka’s incredible goalscoring and assist output in the final third.

Their lack of quality strikers has prompted credible reports of Arsenal are working hard to sign a new striker in January (Sky Sports), and this has now been confirmed by Arteta himself.
“Yes, for sure, because we lost two big players – Bukaya, who could be out for up to three months, and then Gabby, who will be out for a long, long, long time,” he said Arteta on Arsenal signing another striker.
“We will try [in this window] certainly. We are actively looking. We will try. Let’s see what we can get.”
This also comes amid concerns about a lack of sharpness in the final third, with the former Arsenal and Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor arguing that they should have achieved much more in the north London derby.
“I still think they need to work a lot better in the finish because they created so many chances today,” Adebayor said.
“The game ended 2-1. It could have been 5-1, 7-1. For a team that wants to win the league, if they keep playing like this. I don’t think it will be possible.”
According to Sam Cu, who works on The United Stand and That’s Football TV with over 147,000 followers on XArteta’s side are making serious moves for the RB Leipzig starlet Benjamin Sesko after missing out on a contract last summer.
Šeško rejected the offer to join Arsenal in 2024and elsewhere it is reported that they are he could return as a member of the Slovenian national team this year.
That time seems to be now, as Sam C claims Arsenal opened direct negotiations with Seskoand Arteta has reportedly already spoken personally with the 21-year-old.
They want to take him on loan with an option to buy before the deadline, but Leipzig want either an outright transfer fee or an obligation to buy inserted into any temporary deal.
Sesko scored 18 goals in all competitions last season and has continued his similar run of form this season – scoring 13 in 25 games this season. The former RB Salzburg sensation signed a new contract last summer, which is rumored to include ia 63 million pounds release clause (BILD).
