NBA analyst fears Steph Curry will be cut from 2025 All-Star roster due to injuries and underperformance

The Golden State Warriors had a good start to the season, but were unable to maintain that momentum.

They have lost six of their last ten games, falling to 18-18 and ninth in the Western Conference. On top of that, star Steph Curry hasn’t looked his usual self this season, battling a nagging knee injury and failing to carry the team on his shoulders night after night.

That’s why NBA insider Sam Amick believes that he might not even make it to the All-Star Game this season.

“We might think that (Steph Curry) might have a hard time getting on that All-Star roster even though the game is in San Francisco,” Amick said on FanDuel TV’s “Run It Back.”

So far, Curry has averaged under 23 points and six assists per game on 45% from the floor, and while those numbers aren’t bad, he hasn’t been as explosive as he has been in the past.

Steve Kerr admits Steph Curry struggles with losses

Steph Curry this season he did not shy away from unpleasant conversations. He has been open about his team’s flaws and is clearly not amused at the moment.

The Golden State Warriors have lost two games in a row, both by margin, and Curry’s body language said it all.

After their one-sided defeat of Miami Heatcoach Steve Kerr admitted his superstar point guard struggled to deal with all the losses.

“I see that with Steph. He continued to be brilliant night after night, but at his core he is a winner. He is the champion. Also, he wants to compete at the highest level,” Kerr said. “He’s really struggling with feeling uncompetitive right now. He probably hasn’t had to deal with this since his first few years in the league.”

The Warriors are currently a play-in team, but with the San Antonio Spurs and possibly the Phoenix Suns or Sacramento Kings creeping in, some believe they may not have a shot at the playoffs this season.

It’s still early in the year and the Warriors are expected to be very aggressive in acquiring another star before the Feb. 6 trade deadline.
