Eagles fan hurled vile tirade at Packers fan during wild-card game, social media video shows

During that time, the football stadium located in the South Philadelphia sports complex has gained a reputation as one of the toughest places in the NFL for visiting opposing teams. Eagles fans regularly flock to what locals affectionately call “The Linc” and create a boisterous environment.

But during Sunday’s wild-card round game vs Green Bay Packersone Eagles fan was seen mercilessly berating a woman wearing Packers gear.

A video that has surfaced on social media shows an unidentified male fan wearing a green Eagles jacket making lewd comments toward a Packers fan sitting in the upper deck of the stadium.

At one point, the man appears to call the woman “stupid.”

“What’s it like going to Philly just trying to root for your team…” a a social media user commented a video showing at least part of the unsalvage exchange. “Unprovoked, unnecessary. Packers twitter, help me out and find this guy…this is wrong.”

The video had garnered more than 18 million views on Xu, formerly known as Twitter, as of Monday afternoon.

Another man in the video tells the Eagles fan to stop calling the woman names, to which the aggressor responds by saying, “She’s an ugly, stupid f—. Are you going to do anything? Fuck off and watch the game.”

The woman who was the source of Eagles fans’ apparent ire remained mostly calm during the video. However, at one point she made a “boo-hoo” gesture.

It is unclear if the Eagles fan will be fined by the team.

As for the game itself, running back Jalen Hurts returned to action after missing two games after being diagnosed with a concussion. The two-time Pro Bowler threw a pair of touchdowns to help lift Philadelphia to Victory 22-10 over Green Bay.

The Eagles await the results of Monday night’s game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Los Angeles Rams. The game was moved to Glendale, Arizonadue to the fires still burning in the Los Angeles area. The winner of the final game of the wild-card round travels to Philly this weekend for a divisional round matchup with the Eagles.
