Sensormatic Solutions Expands Shrink Analyzer ˜Beyond the Exit’ by Investing.com
- Brand Extends Cloud-Based Loss Prevention Analytics Solution to Provide Retailers with External, Internal and Administrative Reduction Insights
- Shrink Analyzer’s new capabilities are showcased at the 2025 NRF Big Show.
NEUHAUSEN, Switzerland–( BUSINESS WIRE )–Sensormatic Solutions, a leading global portfolio of retail solutions Johnson Controls (NYSE: NYSE: ), continues its mission to build smarter, more connected retail locations by expanding the scope of loss analysis to new areas of the store. The newly enhanced cloud-based Shrink Analyzer application can now integrate Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and Electronic Product Code (EPC) data from targeted “and previously unmonitored” store areas to improve visibility and loss prediction. The Shrink Analyzer’s new capabilities are now on display as part of the Sensormatic Solutions booth (#3523) at the 2025 NRF Big Show.
The first iteration of the Shrink Analyzer gave retailers the opportunity to change the way they think about loss prevention, said Myron Burke, director of management solutions at Sensormatic Solutions. Our recent platform enhancements give them the opportunity to extend that new way of thinking even further across their operations. The front door isn’t the only place where losses occur, and it’s time to consider other risk areas as part of the loss prevention equation.
Shrink Analyzer, which debuted at last year’s Big Show, is an easy-to-use inventory platform-agnostic application designed to strengthen loss prevention strategies by better understanding where, when and how shrinkage occurs, as well as which items are most at risk . The app now offers retailers the option to integrate RFID-based insights from employee entrances, front doors and online shopping, in-store pickup (BOPIS) entrances “as well as merchant-defined high-risk areas” into an analytics engine to uncover multitudes of never previously seen information on store losses.
New Shrink Analyzer capabilities can provide improved insight into out-of-store shrinkage:
- Receiving: Precise identification of inventory disruptions at the trade entry point and potential losses due to supplier fraud accelerates recourse to delivery discrepancies. This can help retailers reduce clerical errors and receive goods ready for the floor faster.
- Entry for employees: Strategically placed RFID systems at employee exits can reduce internal theft while improving investigative efforts with case-level evidence packages. Retailers can identify theft events using staff badges to link love incidents or ORC-style mass theft activity.
- Online download portal: Integrations with other connected systems allow retailers to compare patterns with internal and external factors to identify losses. Additionally, retailers can improve in-store e-commerce fulfillment accuracy, identify employee theft events, and empower LP investigators to quickly identify non-sales related events to estimate the dollar value of stolen merchandise all the way to the EPC.
- Defined zones: Shrink Analyzer can be applied to high shoplifting areas that require uniquely targeted strategies. It can help with self-checkout account verification and dealing with tampering in cloakrooms and other high-risk areas that need better protection.
As with its initial product launch, the Shrink Analyzer is compatible with Sensormatic Solutions’ complete RFID hardware portfolio. Additionally, it can be integrated with any retail analytics ecosystem a retailer may have to offer users a variety of data filtering and visualization capabilities and put retailers in full control of their loss prevention programs.
Visitors to the NRF Big Show can explore the capabilities of the Beyond the Exit Shrink Analyzer at stand #3523, 12.-14. January, at the Javits Center in New York. Request a tour of the stand or a meeting with the account managervisit the Sensormatic Solutions scheduling page.
