Glenn Close admits her biggest regret is her on-screen kiss with Robert Redford
Glenn Close she revealed the identity of the Hollywood legend whose kissing skills left an indelible impression on her.
The 77-year-old actress took part in “Plead the Fifth” during her appearance on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live!” on Thursday. In the segment, host Andy Cohen asks guests three questions, and they only get one chance to “Plead the Fifth.”
Early in the game, Cohen noted that Close had been in “so many romantic movies,” before asking her, “Who was your best on-screen kiss?”
The “Fatal Attraction” star closed her eyes briefly and smiled before replying, “Robert Redford… in ‘The Natural’.”

However, Close expressed regret that the meeting was short.
“I only got to kiss him once,” she recalled.
“Just one move?” Cohen asked.
“No, no, maybe we did it twice,” Close recalled.
“But I kicked him out of my apartment in that movie too,” she added. – But I’m done with him.
In the 1984 film “The Natural,” Redford played Roy Hobbs, a young baseball player with a “natural” talent for the game. Hobbs’ career is derailed after he is inexplicably shot by a deranged woman, but he returns to professional baseball 16 years later and defies expectations to become one of the league’s best players.
Close played Hobbs’ ex-girlfriend, Iris Gaines, who reunites with him during the film. During her appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” Cohen noted that Close earned an Oscar nomination for her performance in “The Natural.”

He noted that Close was nominated for an “amazing” eight Academy Awards.
– What do you think was your performance at that moment most deserving of the Oscar? – Cohen asked Close, who has never won an Oscar.
“All!” she exclaimed to the laughter and applause of the audience.

Close was also asked to name a project she “took on purely for pay.”
“Oh my God,” Close said with a smile. “Please Pete!”
The actress earned her latest Oscar nomination for her performance in “Hillbilly Elegy,” the 2020 film based on the newly elected vice president JD Vance A 2016 memoir of the same name, Close starred in the film as Bonnie “Mamaw” Vance, Vance’s grandmother, portrayed by Gabriel Basso.
While appearing on “The View” earlier this week, Close said Vance’s family was “generous” while filming the movie adaptation.

Close said that he and his family visited the set and that Vance helped Owen Asztalos, the young actor who played him as a boy in the film, with the role.
“We all met the family members. We all sat with them individually, you know, one on one and, for me, with Mamawa, I’d say, ‘How did she get into the room? How did she sit. How did she smoke? How did she change her chemistry?’ So it was, you know, the family was very generous with their time,” Close said.
