Yolanda Saldívar denied the probation 30 years after the conviction of the murder of Selena


The woman who killed the singer Selena Quintanilla-Perez was rejected on Thursday early released from Texas prison.

Yolanda Saldívar was sentenced to life in prison for killing singer Tejano in 1995, which became a music icon in the USA.

When Saldívar was convicted, she received a probationary discharge after serving 30 years in prison. On Thursday, the Committee on Conditional Disposal in Texas from three people refused her request to be published early.

Saldívar, who founded Selena’s Fan Club, will re -eliminate the conditions for early conditional freedom in March 2030.

The jury condemned Saldívar for first -degree murder in 1995. She was sentenced to a lifelong prison with a conditional discharge after 30 years – which arrived this year.

Saldívar, the committee said in a statement, continues to represent a threat of public security.

The nature of her crime has shown “conscious disrespect for the life, security or property of others.”

Saldívar was the founder and manager of the Tejano Singer fan club and operated Selena’s boutiques of clothing, Selena, etc.

On March 31, 1995. Saldívar killed 23-year-old Selena at a hotel in Corpus Christi in Texas.

The shooting came after Saldívar faced Selena’s family because of the alleged embezzlement from the singer’s fan club and the clothing line.

Saldívar allegedly went to the hotel after being released by the singer’s family for charges.

She went to Selena’s motel room to allegedly pick up the business records she needed to submit taxes, according to Associate Press.

When Selena ran out of the room, Saldívar shot the singer in the back.

Selena climbed fame and won in Grammy in the early 1990s, when Tejano’s music flourished.

She declared “Queen Tejano”, and her album dreamed of you is a top scale after being released months after her death.

But for many women Latina, she is an inspiration – the first singer Tejano who made her debut at the top of the Billboard chart when her posthumous crossover album, Dreaming of You, was released in 1996.

Her story famously revived Selena’s 1997 movie, who gave singer Jennifer Lopez her acting role.
