“It’s amazing,” Escarra said through New York Poston Sunday morning. “There is a lot of time. At first, I was grateful to be here and now my dreams come true. Now it’s an easy part. Now it’s just playing baseball on the biggest stage, so I’m excited about what is coming.”

Escarra added that he wasn’t much Crier, but it’s hard not when he knew his mother would react.

“It’s just a special moment,” he said. “A special moment of what I went through because she also went through with me.”
