Wikipedia co -founder Larry Sanger on the way from skeptics to Christians

For Larry Sanger, finding faith in God was a surprise, even him.
“If you didn’t know this change, and if you knew me before 2020, this could be a surprise,” Sanger, which faced WikipediaHe wrote in a recent post on the announcement of his conversion to Christianity.
In the post on his website Entitled, “As a skeptical philosopher becomes a Christian,” Sanger revealed that he lost his childhood faith as a teenager and became a believer in “methodological skepticism.” Over the years, his gaze began to slowly change as he re -examined the arguments for the existence of God, which eventually made him read the whole Bible and turn into Christianity.
In an interview with Fox News DigitalSanger explained that his curious nature led him to a doubt of God as a young adult, but later led him back to God and faith in Christ.

As a boy, Sanger said He often carried the patience of his parents and other adults in his life, asking complicated theological questions.
He remembers one day asking his parents: “What is the difference between mind, spirit and soul?”
But sometimes the figures of adults in his life have a hard time answering these questions. He remembers a certain pastor that he “chased him” after asking the theological questions, which made a bad impression on him and intensified his skepticism towards God.
As a teenager, he came to the conclusion that the worldview of the person had shaped the decisions they made, for good or bad. He told himself that he would only adopt the beliefs that he had a good reason to believe that they were true, so that he would not make the same catastrophic mistakes he had viewed in his life in his life.
“I basically demolished all my beliefs on the ground,” Sanger told Fox News Digital. “I told myself to work, and my Belief in God He left at the time. “

Sanger -agnosticism is fastened in graduate school, he said. But the key events in his life encouraged him to review some of those beliefs.
After he got married and had his first child, he began to question his previous belief in a rational personal interest, for example.
“I realized that I would be willing to die for these people … If I were willing to die for my wife and child, then I would behave in their interest, not in my interest. Then I thought, if I was going to throw that belief, which was another Ayn Rand Wrong? “He said.
Over a few years, Sanger said his suspicions of God began to fall. He even found himself defending Christians in response to what he considered all the enemy attitude of an atheist toward Christian beliefs.
He also intrigued the occult and the idea of a world of spirit. This curiosity led him to the reader of the Bible, the blanket to the blanket, for about 100 days, to understand his message from the Christian perspective.
At the same time, he began to re -examine arguments for the existence of God, such as argument from causality, argumentation from contingent state and argumentation from design, and believed that these arguments would fit together, like “a piece of puzzle.”
To his surprise, Sanger revealed that the Bible could withstand his examination.

“I have discovered, to my shock and concern, that it actually makes a lot more sense than I realized. That all the questions I asked before were other people and answered in different ways, some more likely than others. Still, there is a whole tradition of asking my questions and much more that I have not asked,” said Sanger News Digital.
“What I did not understand was that the reason why there was a tradition of theology of the 2000-year-old in that the Bible endured examination. If it hadn’t, you couldn’t talk about it in detail and the doctrine behind it,” he continued.
He began to pray to God and eventually accepted Christ as his savior in 2020. Sanger admitted that he was initially astonished by his conversion. So far, he is relatively calm in his faith, he said, because he wanted to feel ready to articulate his faith and defend her.
