Wendy’s CEO dishes on thick chopped bacon, egg prices and AI drive for 2025

Just past his one -year -old Mark as Wendy’s (WEN) Executive Director, Kirk Tanner, is leaning on more than square burgers to add a little sizzle to the price of a 55-year-old restaurant chain.

Imagine a new burger that promises bacon with thick cutting, driving driven by Wendy Robot, Frosty Drinc with chocolate and vanilla swing, and still announced breakfast and innovation of sandwiches with chicken.

“It’s huge,” Tanner told me to Yahoo Finance’s Opening an offer Podcast (video above; listen down) when I pressed if the thick cut bacon is just a marketing trick. “I ate like six of them. I mean, that’s significant.”

Asked if the industry reached the top sandwiches with chicken, Tanner was pushing quickly.

“No. I think you can always innovate and always move at least more,” said former North America executive director Beverages for Pepsico (ZEST).

What is new on the menu for Wendy’s:

  • New sandwiches with chicken (mid -this year)

  • New thick cut hamburger bacon (later 2025)

  • New breakfast drinks (later 2025)

  • Completion 2025. With 500 AI drives, currently opposite 100

  • Increasing total restaurants with 7,200 currently up to 8,300 (end 2028)

An iconic fast food chain could use a shot in the hand.

Wendy’s shares last year fell to 17%, weaker rival McDonald’s (MCD) 15% gain. Kfc owner and pizza hut yum! Brands (Pit) increased by 15%, while the brands of the Burger King Burger (QSR) is a drop by 9%. Chipotle (Cmg) is excluded by 16%.

Wendy’s market cap is only three billion dollars, compared to McDonald’s to $ 219 billion, yum! Brands of $ 44 billion, Markir restaurant in the amount of $ 30.8 billion and Chipotle’s $ 66 billion.
