UAW praises Trump’s 25% of car imports

United Auto Workers praised President Donald Trump on Wednesday New tariffs On automatic imports, calling it “the victory for automatic players”.
In a statement, UAW, one of the biggest USA Workers’ trade unionsHe said that Trump’s plan to impose 25% of all imported cars is a continuation of the president’s “Made in American Renaissance” and marked the beginning of the end of the North America or Nafta free trade agreement.
“We welcome Trump’s administration due to the reinforcement of the free trade catastrophe that has been devastating the working class community for decades. Completing the race to the bottom in Auto -industry begins by repairing our broken trade agreements, and Trump’s administration has made history with today’s proceedings,” said President UAW Shawn Fain.

Completing the “race to the bottom,” Fain said, he must include “union rights insurance for automatic owners everywhere with a strong National Committee on Working Relations, decent pension with protected social security fees, health care for all workers, including Medicare and Medicaid, and dignity at work and out of work.”

Fain said that Trump’s tariffs “are the main step in the right direction for automatic and community of blue collar across the country, which is now on car manufacturers, three to three to Volkswagen and beyond, to bring back good trade union affairs in the US”

Speaking at a press conference on White house Earlier on Wednesday, President Trump said he would impose 25 % of tariffs on all imported cars – earlier than 2.5 %. He indicated that the car tariff would take effect on April 2.

In his remarks of the oval office, Trump said that the tariffs “will lead to the construction of many plants, in this case car plants, and you will see numbers you have not seen in terms of employment. It takes a little time, you will initially have great construction numbers, and then you will eventually have many people who make a lot of cars.
