The United States, on Saturday, launched a wave of air strikes against the Hoemen rebels in Yemen, as Donald Trump warned that the “hell was raining” a group supported by Iran if they continue to attack delivery in the Red Sea.
The US president also warned Iran to stop the support of the militant group “Immediately”.
The attacks followed days after Houthis, which control the majority of the inhabited north of Yemen, threatened to continue attacks on shipping in the Red Sea and the Bay of Aden.
“Today, I ordered the United States to launch decisive and strong military actions against Houthhi terrorists in Yemen,” Trump said in a post about Social. “They led the relentless campaign of piracy, violence and terrorism against Americans and other ships, aircraft and drones.”
Last year, Houthis launched a multitude of attacks on the shopping vessels and the US Navy ships in the Red Sea, saying that they acted with Palestinians solidarity as Israel performed his angry offensive against Hamas in Gaza.
The attacks seriously disrupted traffic to one of the world’s most important naval trade routes and continued despite the US, the UK and Israeli air attacks on Houthho military goals in Yemen.
Houthis stopped their campaign after Israel and Hamas agreed to a fragile truce in January under which the Palestinian militants agreed to let go hostage seized in the attack on October 7, 2023 on the Jewish state.
But Houthi warned this week that they would continue the attacks on shipping after Israel blocked the delivery of all assistance in Gaza in an attempt to press Hamas to accept the revised proposal for the second phase of the tribute agreement.
The American air attacks on Saturday aimed at the leaders, base and missile defense of Houthis, Trump said.
“Houthi attack on US vessels will not be tolerated,” Trump said. “We will use an irresistible deadly force until we reach our goal.”
“For all Houthi terrorists, your time has expired and your attacks have to stop, starting today. If they do not, hell will fall on you like nothing you have ever seen before!” Trump added.
On Saturday, Trump also warned Teheran to support the Yemeni rebels, who are part of Iranian militants who make up the so -called “resistance person”.
The United States and Israel accuse Iran of supplying Houthis all sophisticated technology of drones and rockets, as well as intelligence.
“Iran: Support for Houthhi terrorists must end immediately!” he said.
“It is not threatened by the American people, their president, who received one of the greatest seats in the history of the president or the world’s shipping tape. If you do, be careful, because America will answer you completely and, we will not be nice about it! “
Trump diverts his so -called “maximum pressure” campaign against the Republic. During his first term, Trump withdrew from the Nuclear Agreement from 2015, Tehran signed with world forces and imposed hundreds of sanctions on the Republic.
He has announced more sanctions on Tehran since returning to the White House, and at the same time said he wanted to negotiate with Iran on her nuclear program. But he also endured a threat to military actions.
His administration also determined the Houthis foreign terrorist organization because it seems to increase the pressure on the Yemeni rebel group.
The Houthho Ministry of Health announced that at least nine civilians had been killed and nine wounded in US strikes on Sanu’a, the capital of Yemen.
The Houthi controlled Sana, and most of the north decades since they had thrown out the Yemeni government as the impoverished Arab state lowered to the civil war.
The conflict attracted himself in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, which led the Arab coalition that intervened in the fight against Houthis in March 2015.
The Washington Yemeni Embassy and the Iranian Mission in the United Nations did not immediately respond to the commentary requests.
