Chuck Schumer, the highest Democrat in the US Senate, said he would support the Republican PROPOSAL OF THE LAW ON THE HALL FINANCIATION, increasing the likelihood that the Congress would avoid the risk of the Government’s closure.

There was a risk that President Donald Trump and a close advisor Elon Musk would use shutdown – which will be held early on Saturday if the financing measure is not adopted – as executive, Schmer said from the Senate floor on Thursday.

Although “the account is very bad, the potential for extinguishing has the consequences for America, which are much, much worse,” he said. “Allowing Donald Trump To take even more power through the closure of the Government is a far worse option. “

Schumer said that extinguishing could provide a male and the so -called department of government efficiency (Doge) opportunity accelerate their gasoline with less checking their power.

“First, the exclusion would give Donald Trump and Elon Musk Carte Blanche to destroy vital government services much faster than I can at the moment,” said the leader of the Senate Minority.

“According to the closure, Trump’s administration would have complete powers to consider all agencies, programs and staff irrelevant, fruited staff, without any promise that they would ever re -divest. The decision to be exclusively left to the executive government, and no one left in the agencies to check them.”

The Congress Democrats spent several days at the strategy of closed doors. On Wednesday are Democrats of Senate, led by Schumer, excluded support Republican Procedure of the Law, known as continuous resolution.

Although the Republicans control the Senate, they lack “supermayality” needed to overcome the filibuster attempt. At least seven Democrats should help the Republicans numb the way to adopt a bill, which cleared the House of Representatives on Tuesday.

Schumer’s support is likely to encourage other democratic senators to support the stop measure, but it was not immediately clear if he would agree enough.

Trump said he would blame Democrats for every extinguishing: “If they are closed, it is not the fault of Republicans” and “something is wrong with them. They are disparaged,” he said in an oval office on Thursday. He also offered the Republicans saying “if I needed it, I’m here.”

Earlier on Thursday, Arizona Senators Mark Kelly and Ruben Gallego, both of Democrats, said they would vote against bringing a law to vote, also stating the potential for Trump and Musk to take advantage of the situation.

Democratic senator John Fetterman said he would vote for the House Act, while Republican senator Rand Paul said he would oppose it.

The proposal of the House Act would expand funding at current levels by September 30, reducing consumption without defense, at the same time increasing it in defense and implementation of immigration.

Without a financing measure, the government would close on Saturday at 12.01 in the morning. The suspended “irrelevant” functions, including national parks, environmental inspections and food and internal revenue service. Hundreds of thousands of workers could endanger.
