Mark Daigneault see the shades of Steph Curry in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

OKC Thunder and Golden State Warriors were part of several unforgettable battles this season. During the All-Star weekend in February, coach Thunder Mark Daigneault asked about the debate on the NBA’s face and took the moment to praise the superstar of Warriors Steph Curry-Ne just for his dominance on the ground, but also because of his leadership and character.

“As his star has become brighter, it is almost as if he became a better ambassador, a better member of the community, a better face of the franchise, a better teammate, a higher character. It’s a meaning I get from afar, just watching him,” said Daigneault (Per Okc Thunder Wire).

He then drew a comparison with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, attributing to his maturity and constant increase in the league.

“I think we have this type. He was very impressive because he had a quick and almost linear rise in the NBA and did it in progress with great humility,” Daigneault said.

“Behind the closed doors and in our environment, he is almost more impressive when you come around him like that. It is not the approval of anything like that. I just have an incredible confidence in Shai and what he is capable of.”

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Steph Curry were the first two guards in this year’s All-StR vote. Both are on their way to all-nba choosing, and the SGA appears as a MVP leader.
