The Najee Harris was one of the best perspectives on the NFL draft 2021, and Pittsburgh Steelers used his choice in the first round to run.
Four years after it was number 24, Harris’s mandate with Steeler came to an end. Pro Bowler has entered the free agencies market and agreed to one -year -old contract with chargers in Los Angeles.
During his introductory press conference with his new team, Harris admitted that he realized that his time had run out with Steeler.

“I and coach t [Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin]We are pretty close in certain ways, so somehow I knew what was coming, “” Harris said. “I didn’t plan to do it. It wasn’t something that was planned or anything.”
At last year’s NFL scouting combination in Indianapolis, Steeler CEO Omar Khan said the team did not “close the door” on the return of Harris.
Harris said he was always aware of the business side Nfl.
“But it’s a job. Coach T told me that even in the last year, he would tell me,” This is a business side of things, “Harris added.” I just took it and I understood it. I just knew it would be my last year … Maybe, like, in the half of the season, I knew it somehow. “

While Harris experienced some ups and downs in Pittsburgh, his entire production was consistent. He finished all four of his seasons with Steellers with at least 1,000 rush yards. He was also durable, appeared in all 68 matches of a regular season during a four -year running with a franchise.

Harris had to face some instability along Pittsburgh’s offensive line and some traffic at the attacker’s position during his stay with Steelers. Harris shared passionate comments after the Steelers dropped the game in Cleveland Browns in the middle of the 2023 season. Matt Canada.
Steellers refused to practice Harris’s fifth year last year.

Harris expressed excitement for talent along the Chargers offensive line.
“Identity is what makes the play, the integrity of how it is,” Harris said. “And that brought me here. Looking at their games throughout the season, to see their o-lini function, how good their line is and how they end up and the integrity they bring.
“I feel like this is what makes the play O-Line. They have a good O-Lini here, so I just want to use.”
Harris rushed to 4,312 meters in his four seasons. Added 83 Jardes to Earth during three post -season games.
