The U.S. State Attorney Pam Bondi said on Thursday that three accused accused of vandalism were targeting Elona Musk Tesla Electric vehicles with a vehicle could be up to 20 years in prison.
Bondi said that the damage to Tesla cars, MPs and charging stations was domestic terrorism.
Prosecutors previously announced arrests and charges against three suspects.
Tesla’s MPs across the country were targeted in the wave of protests, but also by vandalism and fire attacks, in response to Musk’s influence on Trump’s administration.
There is no special US law against domestic terrorism, but prosecutors can request longer prison sentences if convicted criminals have a motive related to terror.
Trump and Musk also called native terrorism attacks. The administrative supporters are also “full” – undergoing armed police raids after emergencies.
The Ministry of Justice’s statement on Thursday did not appoint a suspect in Tesla Vandalism, however, details of three cases listed in the arrests and accusations of publishing news previously published by prosecutors.
The suspects are Lucy Nelson, 42, who is accused of possessing a destructive device and maliciously destroying property after being noticed near the town of Tesla in Colorado.
The store was targeted by the attack by Molot’s cocktails and graffiti that caused the damage between $ 5,000 and $ 20,000, the criminal complaint said. That suspect declared that he was not guilty.
Adam Matthew Lansky, 41, was charged with possession of a destructive device after Molot’s cocktails were thrown into Tesla’s MP in Salem, Oregon. He still has to declare a blame and will face a preliminary hearing in April.
The third, 24-year-old Daniel Clarke-Pounder, was charged with a fire after allegedly threw Molot’s cocktails in Tesla’s cell charging cells in northern Charleston in South Carolina and a spray for a parking space.
In a statement, Bondi said: “The days of committing the crime without consequence ended.
“Let this be a warning: If you join this wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla’s Properties, the Ministry of Justice will put you behind bars.”
The Chief Lawyer said three suspects could face between five and 20 years in prison if they were convicted.
