Tesla remembers more than 46,000 Cybertrucks in the United States to replace the outer plate that could fall while driving, marking the latest security for the product that Elon Musk described as a “toughest” spicant truck.
The recall will cover all vehicles that have been built from the launch in November 2023 to February 2025, according to a submission with the National Road Traffic Safety Administration.
“If the central panel is separated from the vehicle while in operation, it could create a danger to the driver monitoring road and increase the risk of injury or collision,” Tesla said. The problem is caused by a defective glue that is “susceptible to environment,” it added.
The company, which Musk faced, said on Thursday that it would replace the Cantrail-A-Component Assembly of the roof-S one “, which meets the requirements for tested endurance” in the process that will take about an hour.
According to the submission, Tesla has established 151 warranty requirements that may be linked to the situation and is not aware of any related collision, deaths or injuries.
Tesla has already issued a multiple recall over Cybertruck, including last year, when he warned of faulty acceleration pedal slippers that could get stuck and increase the risk of collision.
The company also faces multiple NHTS probes in claiming Musk on the ability of its driver’s help systems, which are the subject of thousands of customers complaints for unexpected braking and acceleration.
The regulator also explores the death collisions on the highway, while Tesla’s so -called “full driving” software is activated.
The widespread recall is the latest blow to the manufacturer of electric vehicles based in Austin, in Texas, which noted that its shares be held 51 percent from mid -December. The shares fell 1 percent after the announcement.
Investors are concerned about falling sales in Europe, China and Elementary US countries, including California, which are related to consumer return moves against Musk political activism at home and abroad.
