Bangladesh Fast Bowler Taskin Ahmed received a major reinforcement in the midst of the recent fights of his team in the format. His category on the central list of the contract was upgraded by the Bangladeski Committee on Cricket (BCB).
The proposed draft list of the central contracts was set in front of the BCB Director during their previous meeting held on February 3. According to this draft, Taskin Ahmed received an upgrade on the list.

Taskin Ahmed in the A+ category
According to Cricbuzz, the BCB National Selection Plate was put by Taskin Ahmed in the A+ category, which is the highest category at Bangladesh Central Treaty. There are 22 players on the list of central contracts for 2025.
Changes in the contracts have been made to recognize the superior effect of the country in the international crime. The Committee returned to the universal assessment system that includes players dividing the five categories – A+, A, B, C and D, not to share them earlier to the test, Odra and T20I.
Taskin Ahmed has recently turned into a cricket for all the Bangladesh format. In the 2025 champion trophy, he picked up 2 wicketes in as many games on average 32 and an economy of 4.
Taskin Ahmed also recently returned to the test side when he played against Bangladesh in two tests in West India. Taskin appeared as the highest bracket of the series with 11 hickekets in 2 games on average 18.63.
What are the players in the A category?
The best Redzi, Hossain Shato, Wickeket-Batter Litton Das, Allrounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Veteran Wickekeper Mushfique Rahim are placed in Category A. All these players are a regular part of the team with Litton Das not playing the champion trophy this year.
All these players play all the game formats other than Mushfiquir Rahim, who withdrew from T20is 4 September 2022, after the Asian Cup was concluded in the UAE. But he is still part of the Bangladesh team and go.
Players for category B, C, D
Category B includes an experienced dough like Mominul Haque and Mahmudullah. In this category are the veteran fast bowlers Mustafizur Rahman and Spinner with the left hands of Taijul Islam. Mominul is considered only for the test cricket, while Mahmudullah has already withdrawn from tests and t20i.
Opening of Souumya Sarkar, Shadman Islam, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Batter Jaker Ali, Fast Bowlers Shoriful Islam, Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Spinners Rishad Hossain and Mahedi Hasan are in the category C on this list.
Only two players are there in the category D. These two players are Spinner’s left hand at random Ahmed and the fast bowlers Khaled Ahmed.
Suspension over Mushfiquir Rahim and Mahmudullah
The Committee has not yet approved the list, because it should be decided whether the Mushfiquiquiquur veteran cricket should receive a central contract or not.
Both players aim to be available for the 2027 World Cup, but the selectors have already insisted on performing both veterans in format. They both have an immense experience and can be shown to be a Bangladesh difference.
They both recently had a disappointing champion trophy. Rahim scored only 2 rides in two matches playing, while Mahmudullah scored only 4 rides in the only match he played during the tournament.
