High former international cricket and a TV commentator suffered an attack during the Premier League match in Dhaki and was transported to a hospital.
Former one -day international (OD) crisner captain Tamim Iqbal was transported to hospital after suffering a heart attack on the field during a domestic match.
Tamim, 36, led Mohammed Sporting Club on Monday in the 50 Premier League match (DPL) in Dhaki.
He participated in throwing, but later complained of chest pain. After initial treatment on the field, he was transported to a nearby hospital.
“He assumed a heart attack. What I know so far is that his heart has started to function better,” said Debashis Chowdhury, a medical officer of the Bangladesh (BCB) Committee, AFP told the AFP news agency.
Tariquel Islam, a team officer, said AFP that Tamim is being treated at a hospital in Savar on the outskirts of Dake and invited people to pray for his rapid recovery.
BCB canceled the scheduled meeting of the Committee for the day after Tamim’s sudden illness, and several members of the Committee went to the hospital to visit him.
Tamim represented Bangladesh in 391 matching in format between 2007 and 2023.
It has more than 15,000 international running under the belt and is the only Batladeski Backer who has reached a century in all three international formats.
