“I made it clear to the president that he had no mandate to cut Medicaid,” Green said, referring to a health program used by 80 million Americans. “I have people who are very scared. These are poor people, and they have only Medicaid in life when it comes to their health care.”
“But it is worth letting people know that there are one of us who will confront the desire of this president to reduce Medicaid, Medicare and social insurance,” he said.
