Syrian new rulers held a long -awaited national conference on a dialogue on Tuesday, which they considered to be a “rare historic occasion” for the renovation of the country after the fall of former President Bashar Assad and almost 14 years of civil war. For almost 3 months, Syria was governed by a small temporary government led by Islamist former rebel group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham. The new transitional government, with the aim of being more included and representative, should replace current authorities with temporary President Ahmed al-Shara who will remain in his position.
