Former Main Coach Team India Anil Kumble said that Wickeket-Batter Kl Rahul is always under unnecessary pressure after the semifinals against Australia in the ICC champion trophy. Kumble stated that Rahul was supposed to be sent in front of Axar Patel in a striking command in Dubai on Tuesday, March 4th.

“There is a lot of pressure on him. If he gets well, he is expected. If he does not even succeed in any of them, all of a sudden the whole world comes after him. He was under pressure, even with retention in the last game, but today he showed what he is capable of,” Kumble said.

Former Indian cricket Sanja Manjrekar said Rahul works better with less time in the fold. Manjrekar added that Rahul rarely plays long, stable inserts by rotating the strike in a winning effort, similar to Virat Kohli.
