Rob Burrow: London Marathon in memory of the late husband as “Traveling of Love, Loss and Resistance,” says Lindsey’s wife | Rugby league news

Lindsey Burrow, the wife of the late slave Burrow, will lead the London marathon this year, calling him “a journey of love, loss and resistance.”
Leeds Rhinos Great Burrow died in June 2024 at the age of 41, five years after it was diagnosed with a disease of motor neurons.
Burrow and his former teammate Kevin Sinfield raised more than £ 15 million for MND charity organizations through collection of funds and campaigns.
“Running of the London marathon after I lost my husband, a motor neuron disease is not just a physical challenge. It is a deep personal journey of love, loss and resistance,” she said.
“As I enter my shoes, I carry with me the spirit of my beloved husband, the slave. His strength in the face of MND inspires me to push myself beyond my borders and find the purpose in the midst of loss.
“This marathon represents not only honor his incredible struggle, but also the celebration of the love we shared and the memories we created.
“Every mile I run testifies to his permanent legacy, a reminder that even in the darkest times we can find a purpose and hope.
“I run after him; for all those affected by this disease; and for the belief that we can make a difference together.”
Lindsey will run in the London marathon on April 27 on April 27 to continue raising money for the charity organization of Leeds Hospitals and the Leeds Rhinos Foundation.
Lindsey, 41, ran in the inaugural Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon in 2023 and in the Yorkshire marathon last year.
