Pope Francis will be released from the hospital on Sunday, after 38 days, fighting a dangerous life of a striking case of pneumonia in both lungs, his doctors said.
Medical director Dr. Sergio Alfieri from Gemelli Hospital in Rome, where the 88-year-old is treated, said Francis would require at least two months of vacation and rehabilitation while he continues to recover in the Vatican.
The pope was admitted to Gemelli on February 14 after Bronhitis got worse. He later developed a life -threatening case of pneumonia.
