Pope Francis suffered “two episodes of acute respiratory failure on Monday,” Vatican reported.
“In the afternoon, non -invasive mechanical ventilation continued,” she added in the statement. “The Holy Father has always remained awake, oriented and cooperative. The forecast remains guarded.”
