Pope Francis shares a voice message from the hospital
Pope Francis announced an audio message by thanking people around the world for their support after being admitted to the hospital on February 14th.
It is the first time that the 88-year-old has listened to the public since entering the hospital was treated with bronchitis, before he was diagnosed with pneumonia in both lungs.
A short, two-line message, recorded earlier that day from the Gemelli Roman Hospital, was played during the Night Prayer for the Pope in St. Peter Square on the Vatican.
Earlier this week, the Vatican said Pontifs was stable after suffered two episodes of respiratory failure and used “non -invasive mechanical ventilation”, but now returns to a high -flow oxygen mask.
The Pope was forced to cancel numerous events from his hospitalization, recently on Ash Wednesday, which indicates the beginning of a six -week period that led to Easter.
