The leading political parties of Greenland announced a joint statement to condemn the “unacceptable behavior” of Donald Trump, after seeing the US president escalating his campaign to take over the island.
The showing of unity saw all the leaders of the parties in the inatSartut – Parliament – published a common message stating that “I cannot accept repeated statements about the annexation and control of Greenland”.

Greenland’s joint statement was orchestrated by leaving Prime Minister Mute B egeda, whose party was defeated in the election on Tuesday.
“Our country will never be now, and we Greenlanders will never be Americans,” Egede wrote on Facebook. “Don’t treat us with disrespect. Enough is enough.”
