Passengers evacuate after the American Airlines plane set fire to a fire in Denver | Airline news
Twelve passengers treated due to minor injuries after the aircraft engine caught the fire on landing.
More than 170 passengers and six crews were evacuated after the engine of the American Airlines jet – exit from Colorado Springs – lit landing in Denver.
The incident took place on Thursday after the Boeing 737-800 aircraft were diverted from Dallas’s destination and landed in Denver around 5:15 pm local time (23:15 GMT) in response to the engine vibration reports by the crew.
“After safely landing Taxim to the door at the International Airport Denver (Den), the American Airlines Flight 1006 experienced a question related to the engine,” the airline statement said.
According to the airline, all 172 passengers and six crew members must have evacuated the aircraft and moved to the terminal. Twelve passengers with minor injuries were allegedly taken to a local hospital for further assessment.
Dramatic images showed that passengers exit from the emergency room and on the wings of the aircraft.

This is the second recent aircraft incident that includes American Airlines aircraft.

Last month, the Delta Air Lines regional jet turned upside down after landing in the Canadian International Airport of Toronto Pearson in the windy weather after a snowstorm, injuring 18 of 80 people on board, although all passengers and crew members survive the incident.
Only this week, the CEO of American Airlines Robert Isom and Director of Delta Ed Bastian cited recent air accidents and time events in the United States as a contribution to the reasons for falling demand for traveling in the country, together with economic uncertainty.
