Pakistan hosted the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 match match, which is the first time the state has hosted an ICC event since 1996. Qualifications for the ICC women for the World Cup will determine the last two teams for the World Cup, which will be held in India later this year. Six teams have already secured places for the Marquee tournament. The qualifiers are expected to start on April 4, and the final certificate of dates and places are still waiting.
Pakistan was supposed to host the ICC World Cup 2025 qualifying
According to the CRICBUZZ report, ICC will announce Pakistan as host of the World Cup women’s qualifying. Six teams – Pakistan, Bangladesh, West Indies, Ireland, Scotland and Thailand – will compete for two remaining seats at the World Cup, which was due in India in October.
Although the exact dates and places are yet to be confirmed, Lahore is likely to host matches. Lahore was hosted by a championship match, including the semifinals between South Africa and Novi Zealand.
Pakistan will host a multi-time women’s ICC event for the first time. The country hosted the ICC Champion Current Trophy in eight teams and three-series with new Zealand and South Africa.
Six of eight teams have already secured their places at the World Cup in 2025. Qualified teams include hosts India, Australia, England, South Africa, Sri Lanka and New Zealand. These teams earned a direct entry by ending up on top of the ICC women’s championship table.
Pakistan travel to India to the Women’s World Championship 2025?
The upcoming qualifiers for the World Cup draw attention to diplomatic tensions between India and Pakistan. BCCI and PCB recently, according to the ICC supervision, agreed that any global match that includes their national teams would be held in a neutral place.
This arrangement has already been established for the current champion trophy, where India plays all its matches in Dubai. If the Pakistan Women’s team qualifies for the World Cup, the main question will be where the match in India and Pakistan will be held.
PCB may not send a women’s team to India. Significant is that ICC may need to intervene about the World Cup schedule.
India last hosted the 2013 Women’s World Cup in 2013
In 2013, India hosted the Women’s World Cup, with a partial hybrid model. While most of the matches took place in Mumbai, Pakistan played his games in Cuttack because of the security problems arising from the threat of a political party.
The upcoming qualifiers for the Pakistan World Cup should overlap with the Pakistan’s Super League (PSL), which should start on April 11. Both PCB and ICC will have to coordinate adjustments to avoid the conflict between qualifying and the T20 franchise league.
