Ontario suspends an electric extra charge in the middle of the US tariff war

Prime Minister Ontario Doug Ford On Tuesday he said he temporarily suspended the planned 25% electricity supplement embroidered in the United States after American store Secretary Howard Lutnick Agreed to renew the trade conversations.
Ford said he and Lutnick “had a productive conversation about an economic relationship between United States and Canada“Earlier Tuesday.
“We both agreed, some colder heads prevail,” Ford told reporters, hours after US President Donald Trump escalated the already hot trade war, saying he would collect tariffs on Canadian steel and import aluminum at 50%.
Trump has announced these enhanced Tariffs on Ford’s heels, saying that he will impose an extra charge of importing electricity into Michigan, New York and Minnesota.
Ford said on Tuesday that Lutnick agreed to meet with him and a US trade representative in Washington, DC, on Thursday to discuss the renovated trade agreement of the United States-Mexico-Kanada.
Trump said he would impose a 25% of the goods imported from Canada starting on April 2.
