National woman Football League (nwsl) The extension team with headquarters in Boston announced on Friday that he would change his name. The change comes after a wave of transgender attacks in the marketing campaign he left in October.
The team was supposed to be named Bos Nation FC, which he announced in the fall in the fall, along with a marketing campaign that contained a slogan “Too much ball”. The slogan encouraged intense return from the transgender community, including NWSL players.
The transgender player who goes next to the unique name Quinn, who plays for Seattle Reign, spoke against the announcement of the team in the post in the post on Instagram.
“She feels transphobic. Yikes,” Quinn wrote.

Tim quickly left the slogan, issued a public apology for him, and even thanked those who spoke against it.
“We fully admit that the contents of the campaign did not reflect a safe and welcome environment that we seek to create for everything, and we apologize to the LGBTQ+ community and the Trans community, especially because of the injury we caused,” the statement said.
“Thank you to everyone who considered us responsible, inviting us to do better. We hear you and we will together,” says another statement.

Now the women’s football team based in Boston erases all the branding traces that came out of his October announcement by deciding to change the proposed name.

“We could not complete this procedure without your contribution. We aim to build a permanent legacy that makes all our fans we are welcome, connected and proud to carry our colors and cheer our name in the generations to come.”
The issue of transition to women’s sports has proven to be one of the most controversial political themes last fall and early 2025, as more lawsuits and federal investigations have encouraged the situations involved in Trans athletes in the last six months.

Data suggest that most Americans are opposed to transitions in women’s sports, and the problem even played in the 2024 elections.
