NHL News: Flyers Fire John Tortorella after three years as the main coach

AND Philadelphia Flyers Announced on Thursday, the team will cross from the chief coach John Tortorella after being his organization for almost three years.
The decision to release the coach, who won Stanley Cup with Tampa Bay Lightting in 2004, followed after he duly noticed his “interest” for training “of this type of season.”
Flyers presented a statement announcing his decision with only nine games left in Regular season. Associate coach Brad Shaw was appointed a temporary main coach.

“Today I made a very difficult decision to move from John as our main coach,” said Director General Daniel Briere. “John played a vital role in our renovation. He set the standard of play and re -established what it means to be the Philadelphia leaflet.
“John’s passion on the bench was equalized only with his charity work in our community. As we move to the next chapter of this renewal, I felt that this was best for our team to move forward. I would like to thank John for his testering work and leatters’ dedication.”
Tortorella, who has long established herself as a leader without nonsense, has gone with the Flyers 97-107-33. He was discharged at one year on a contract. The decision to separate ways followed during the brutal slide for Flyers, who lost 11 of 12 games and won only six times in the last 25 games.

After Tuesday 7-2 loss to Toronto, Tortorella seems to have been guilty, but she gave an unusual remark regarding his coaching interest.
“When you are in such a situation and losing all the time, and at the end of the tunnel there is nothing for you, there will certainly be some frustration. But this falls on me. I don’t really care to learn how to train in this kind of season, where we are currently,” he said, through an over -excessive Yahoo Sports.
“But I have to do a better job. So this falls on me, preparing a team to play the right way until we get to the end.”

Briere said at a press conference on Thursday that TorTorelle comments on Tuesday contributed to his decision.
“It’s one of the things that happened in the way. It’s not a specific reason, and there’s no specific reason,” Briere said.
