Chinese Practice GP: Lando Norris sets up the amazing pace for McLaren on the eve of the Sprint Qualification | F1 news

Lando Norris set up a top -notch practice pace for McLaren in Chinese Grand Prix ahead of Sprint qualifying later on Friday.

Brit, who runs the driver championship after winning the season in Australia last weekend, delivered 1: 31.504 to end almost half a second from Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc.

Oscar Piastra was on his way to setting a similar time to his teammate with McLaren Norris before running wide in the last corner, which left the Australian third.

Lewis Hamilton completed a more positive display of Ferrari – after their surprise Melbourne fights – to fourth place.

Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc had a huge spin on two findings during the only weekend training in China.

Hamilton returned nearly 0.7 from Norris, but unlike three drivers in front of him, he did not go to another qualifying simulation in a somewhat urgent peak on the session after the red flag caused by the technical failure at Alpina Jack Doohan.

George Russell is on the top of the list after running medium running, but finished in fifth place after failing to improve his effort.

The ruling world champion Max Verstappen was only 16. For Red Bull after interrupting his only attempt to fly a flying circle.
