NBA News: Steve Kerr Warriors says you should call more travels

Golden State Warriors The head coach Steve Kerr invites NBA officials to whistle more often, one of the most basic violations of basketball rules.
Kerr, 59, was estimated by a technical offense during the third quarter of the Warriors’ 119-101 Charlotte Hornets Monday after he thought the obvious trip was not called.
“I do not understand why we do not learn our officials to call travel in this league,” Kerr told reporters after the game. “They work great and make tails and communicate well, but I see five or six trips in a game that is not called.

“You know that the problem is when there are a hundred fans in the stands and every coach on the side when I watch the movie and they are all (signaling for the path it travels). We all see it, so we obviously do not teach it as a league of our officials to watch our feet.”
Kerr called his own team saying that he saw the Warriors perform four travels that were not called in their loss Philadelphia 76ers Saturday.

Kerr said that a change in terms of travel violations “for good games” had to happen.
“The whole game is based on the legs,” Kerr said. “We need to carry out travel violations, and we don’t do it. And I don’t understand why … these (officials) are great. They do a great job and have a million things to look at, but the leg work is the whole basis of the game, and we have to call the trip. It will be a much better game if we clean it.”
