Natasha Jonas and Joe Gallagher diagnoses coach cancer: ‘We have a fight to win the ring and beyond’ | Boxing news

Natasha Jonas and her coach Joe Gallagher face the challenges in the ring and beyond the ropes.
Gallagher trains Jonas to unite the world title with Lauren Price, this Friday at Royal Albert Hall.
In the accumulation to that fight for the Championship on March 7, Gallagher revealed that he also struggled with intestine and liver cancer in the fourth phase.
“I made a statement because I just wanted people to be aware of,” Gallagher said Sky Sports. “I just want everyone to go and check and not wait too late.
“Everyone all last year thought I was living my best life, they saw me [in Riyadh] At dinners with Eminem and Ronald, and part of the gym Mike Tyson and setting this and Lawrence [Okolie] Winning of world titles and Tasha winning the world titles, and everyone thinks I have a great life, but unknown – only through medical – that came. “
He added, “I just put it on to let everyone know. If I am Joe Gallagher who has all experienced in the past, sometimes it may not be me, it could be a mood of chemotherapy and that. But the job is equally normal.”
Gallagher holds everything in the gym focused on boxing and the success of his athletes.
“It’s just like a job as always. Nothing has changed,” he said. “I told the fighters you have yet to concentrate. We have the fighting to win the UI outside the ring this year and that is what we intend to do.”
He organized his treatments for chemotherapy over the coming fights of his fighters.
“Boxing is his distraction and holds him mentally in the game and ready,” Jonas said Sky Sports. “If you were in the gym, you wouldn’t think anything is different. Still yelling at me, they still tell me to the left, right and in the middle. I still boast when I do good things.
“Joe’s Joe. There will always be Joe. The last thoughts of himself and wants it almost as much as you do.
“There are additional incentives,” she added, “I don’t need to explain it. But there are additional incentives to do well and do myself and justice at the camp and my coach.”
