Mohammed Siraj finally responds to a brutal trophy trophy with a blunt message to the selectors
The Indian National Cricket Pacer Mohammed Siraj opened about his snub from ICC champion Trophy 2025. He admitted that the choice was not in his hands, but he worked hard and wants to focus on his performance.
The BCCI selection committee surprised many when they named the Indian team for the 2025 ICC champion. Mohammed Siraj, who had been a regular member of the team by then, was dropped from the team as the selectors continued with Mohammed Shamija, Arshdeep Singh and Harshit wound.

Skiper Rohit Sharma openly mentioned why they did not choose Mohammed Siraja for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. He said Pacer was ineffective with the old ball, and they wanted someone to be convenient in all three phases.

As he spoke of his snub from ICC’s ICC champion Trophy 2025, Siraj said he did not want to put pressure on himself thinking about choosing. He added that even though they are a tour of the England and the Asian Cup, he wants to focus on IPL.
“Look, the choice is not in my hands. I only had a cricket ball in my hands and wanted to do as much as I could do with it. I don’t want to put pressure on myself thinking about choosing, because I want to focus on my performance,” Siraj told the PTI.
“Yes, a player, you have a tour of the English and Asian Cup in your mind, but I’m not really thinking seriously about it, because my focus on IPL -I do well for the Gujarat Titans and help them win another IPL title,” he said.

Mohammed Siraj revealed that he worked a lot on his fitness and bowling and knows how to grab with new and old balls. He also spoke about his strategies for the IPL 2025. He added:
“I’ve been playing for several years now, and we usually don’t rest. But now that I have a break for a while, I’ve worked on my fitness and bowling skill.
“I really worked hard with how to swim with new and old balls and wanted to work on my slower balls and Yorkers. This time I really worked in these areas, and some things get out for me in this IPL,” he added.
