Lando Norris, Oscar Piastra ‘nervous and excited’ for the fight against McLaren’s head in F1 2025 | F1 news

Lando Norris admits that he and Oscar Piastra are probably “nervous and excited” as McLaren for appearance to go to fight the F1 World Cup, but believes that the team is “ready” to resolve such a scenario.
Confirming McLaren’s status from the pre-season as a title for titles, Conductors’ champion drivers shared the first two victories in the campaign between them and only rejected a probable double two or two from Piastra on a dry tire in the wet opener of the season in Australia.
China Victor Piastra fell points in Melbourne, means that Norris takes him for 10 points in the early order, and Red Bull is Max Verstappen and Mercedes George Russell currently between them, and a couple McLaren should be a big favorite to challenge the next race on April 6.
Asked about the appearance that he and his teammate would be in a seasonal claim of a title and a possible ‘trouble’ that could cause, Norris said: “We are free to racquide [in China]I didn’t have the pace to really climb to the Oscar, and he drove very well. So he deserved it. The same really last weekend.
“There were two circles [in the Australian GP] If I know everyone likes to talk about where we just kept the position, but the rest were a free race.
“So I’m sure we’ll have some closer races at some point. I think we’re both excited – probably nervous and excited at the same time – as I am sure the team will be. But we’re ready.
“We know that as much as we work together and have a good time and enjoy, we both know that we want to try and win and show who is the best.
“And that is inevitable. So there is no point in trying to hide from that fact or do something.
“We are two competitors who want to win. But we help each other. I think we both achieved something better this weekend because of that fact. And we will continue to do it.”
Norris, however, insisted that he was far from given that only he and Piastra would fight for victory consistently in the front.
“I’m sure it will be the case in an instant, but as Oscar said, at any time, other teams can find something,” he added.
“Other teams have already talked about upgrades and things, and they can make up for faster than you think, just as we did last year. So, as much as we do, we must think and continue to push the team forward on that side.”
Norris: Piastra Partnership ‘Huge Advantage’ for McLaren
WITH Red Bull realized to be seriously considered again For the passenger of his second seat next to the World Champion Max Verstappen after Liam Lawson started the season, Norris once again emphasized McLaren’s driver pairing.
The Norris-Piastra Youth is a combination in her third season and has helped McLaren in their first constructor title since 1998 last year.
“Probably except Ferrari, I don’t think there is another team that has two drivers who are pushing each other nearby,” Norris said.
“And for us it is a huge advantage. Even if you have the same car for everything, if you have a team with two drivers who can push themselves, they will always beat everyone else who is just alone.
“So we have a great car, we have a great team, but we also have two drivers who are pushing each other more than any other team has. And it will always win – even even [over] The best driver online. This is one of our biggest forces per minute – how we are able to learn from each other. “
Piastra, who claimed his third win of the Grand Prix in Shanghai, added: “I think we have different forces and weaknesses as drivers. And I think this weekend there were certain points where, of course, it had a little acting on my advantage.
“And I think there were other weekends where it definitely didn’t, and I had to try to look at things from how Lando was guided and applied them myself. I think it’s definitely an advantage – or an advantage – we have.
“Having strong teammates, always learn from each other. It is impossible to measure how long you get the circle from pushing each other, but you get something, that’s for sure.”
