“Is a great opportunity” – Stuart Broad Backss England overthrows the “old Australian side” in the ashes 2025-26
Former Stuart Broad crisner is optimistic about the chances of England in the upcoming Ashes 2025-26 series in Australia later this year. The former English Pacer admitted that Australia was dominant at home, but pointed out that their bowlers pass their peak and their hit line lacks experience.
England has had mixed results in the last three years. Ben Stokes led the team to the historic 3-0 series in Pakistan. However, doubts occurred after England withstanding a 4-1 series in India in 2023. The English team for crickets also failed to reclaim the ash trophy on the domestic soil in 2023.

Stuart Broad said that England had a strong chance that after decades, the Australia’s trophy was reclaimed in Australia. He pointed out that the attack in Australia, consisting of Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon.

Marus Labuschagne fights, so the team that may be just crossing the hill, which is a great opportunity for England if the stars align. Australia are favorites, but England has a great opportunity as we have had since 2010,” Broad added.
England will travel to Australia for a five Metch Ashes test series, starting on November 21st. The team lost three consecutive Ashes series in Australia and failed to beat a single test since 2011. The team led by Ben Stokes is facing a terrifying challenge to reverse his wealth in the upcoming series.

Stuart Broad also said that the upcoming home test series against India would serve as an ideal preparation for the Australia ash tour. He admitted that the five -game series would be physically demanding.
“Personally, I wish the idea of playing a heavy series with five games against India before the ashes, but we know it will be physically challenging,” Broad shared.
The English test team missed the qualifications for the ICC World Test Championship finals for the third consecutive time under coach Brendon McCullum and captain Ben Stokes. The upcoming Ashes series will be the first tour of Australia for McCullum’s main coach of England since she took over her duty in 2022.
