Virginia High School League (VHSL) issued a Fox News Digital statement on the issue.
“VHSL does not comment on individuals or disciplinary actions because of Ferpa,” the league statement said. “The actions taken by the Director of the Meet for the Disqualification of the runners were appropriate and correct. We thoroughly review any instance such as this one involving the safety of players in participating schools. It is always a priority to students-athletes to the Safe Environment for Competition.”
